Ron Paul responds to Lindsey Graham's Comments on CNN's Situation Room (10-14-2009)

Representative Ron Paul is interviewed by a panel from CNN's Situation Room. Two of the questions from the panelists are loaded, and Paul turns the questions back at the commentators. Arianna Huffington is all smiles the entire time, and it is clear she respects Ron Paul tremendously, even if they don't always see eye to eye. Huffington asks the best question in the interview, and it is one that all Americans should seriously consider. It's time to stop looking at things as left versus right, when socialists, libertarians, conservatives, and liberals can all agree that we need to audit the Fed, end the wars, and restore civil liberties in this country.

(CC) Saturday Night Live pokes fun at President Obama

On the October 3rd, 2009 edition of Saturday Night Live, President Obama is mocked for being unable to follow up on any of his campaign promises of "change" that got him elected by a country fed up with politicians that don't keep the promises they make.



This reminds me of an old video from 2008 comparing the differences between Barack Obama and Ron Paul.



I doubt Ron Paul will run again in 2012. He could handle it (he bikes several miles a day and mostly eats salads), but his wife's heart probably couldn't. If he is convinced to run again one final time, he represents REAL CHANGE that would be quick and decisive. And he has a 35+ year record of saying the same things over and over again, as this video below demonstrates.

Featured below is a video that was recently added to YouTube entitled "Ron Paul's History of Being Honest". This video immediately jumps into the top 3 of my all-time favorite videos featuring Ron Paul, because it features clips of him from 1983, 1988, 1990, 2002 and 2007 saying the same things over and over again. Here, he talks about the Republicrats, Foreign Policy, and the economy. I would like to thank Vessol for assisting with part of the subbing for this video.

(CC) Stephen Baldwin and Ron Paul debate the legalization of Marijuana

On the Larry King Show, guest host Joy Behar (from "The View") moderates a debate between actor Stephen Baldwin and Ron Paul regarding the topic of whether Marijuana should be legalized. I did not do these subtitles, but found them when doing a routine search. There are closed captions embedded within the video, but the captions lag a good three seconds behind the actual dialogue. The subtitles do a much better job of real-time captioning, so I was pleased to see this video being subbed. For those who sub videos, please note that it is often a good idea to identify who the speaker is to avoid confusion, but for this particular video, it was rather easy to identify who was speaking at which time. The only thing not effectively subbed was when guests talked over each other (you could view the captions on the top of the screen to see what was said during those brief moments).

In this video clip, Paul takes the position of supporting the legalization of marijuana, and makes some very convincing arguments. Stephen Baldwin has very little of substance to say in the debate, and his facial expressions indicate that he knows Paul is making a lot of sense with his arguments against prohibition.

Here is a subtitled version of Ron Paul's appearance on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart from Tuesday, September 29, 2009. The interview is approximately 9 minutes in length, and Ron Paul talks about the Federal Reserve, amongst other issues. Jon Stewart was very respectful towards Paul in this second interview, just as he was when interviewing Paul way back in June of 2007 (Transcript of that interview here).

Before one views the below video, it is important to understand that the United States of America is BANKRUPT!! Our unfunded liabilities are at $60 Trillion Dollars. That means that the share for each and every one of us is $192,000.00. To put that in perspective, your child will be a debt slave from the day he or she is born. "According to the U.S. Government Accountability Office, if reckless fiscal spending continues, the entire federal budget will be consumed by Social Security and Medicare payments by 2040". Wonderful! Just in time when folks in their late 20's and early 30's right now are about to retire and after having paid into the Social Security Ponzi Scheme their entire lives.

I know what some folks are thinking. If Paul gets his way, people will be out on the streets. No! Paul is the only one who actually has a plan to pay for all of this. Scale back our military empire around the world and use that money to help the people who we have taught to become dependent on the Government to take care of them from cradle to grave. Eliminate the Income Tax and the I.R.S. for a much fatter paycheck every two weeks, just when the American people need it the most (instead of having the special interests and lobbyists fighting over who gets to spend our money that we worked for). Audit the Federal Reserve for the first time in it's 95+ year history and figure out exactly what the third Central Bank of the United States is up to and who they loaned our money to. Thomas Jefferson and Andrew Jackson killed the first two Central Banks, and with our help, Ron Paul can kill the third.

A majority of our problems have to do with the Federal Reserve and their "printing press", which inevitably leads to higher prices in the supermarket and other places, while working wages remain stagnant. The Poor (especially those on Fixed Incomes) and the Middle Class (which is dramatically being wiped out as we speak) are the ones that suffer from this hidden "Inflation" Tax created by the Federal Reserve printing press. No matter how good the intentions of any such government program is, no one bothers to ask how we're going to actually pay for these "free" programs. Instead, appeal to emotions are the rule of the day.

If you had a teenager who was running up her credit card like crazy, buying things she couldn't afford and didn't need, you'd cut up her credit card and teach her to live within her means. Ron Paul has always said that "those who live beyond their means are destined to live beneath their means". With all that said, check out this interview. I was hoping Paul would have more time to talk, but maybe Stewart will give him a full half-hour one of these days. It is amazing to me that Stewart is one of the best newsmen in the business, and he's a comedian with a show that airs on Comedy Central. Where have the Walter Cronkites of this world gone?
